Romania Trip
EXPERIENCE THE LAST FRONTIER
Building lasting relationships while sharing Christ’s love in Romania.
Join hands with Romanian pastors to strengthen their churches and communities.
ROMANIA TRIP
The Romania Mission Trip offers a unique opportunity to partner with local churches and share the Gospel while meeting practical needs in communities across the country. Romania is a nation rich in history and culture, yet many of its people continue to face poverty, isolation, and spiritual challenges. From the villages of Moldavia to the hills of Transylvania, faithful pastors and congregations are working hard to serve their communities, and your presence will encourage and strengthen their ministry.
During your time in Romania, you will engage in a variety of ministry opportunities such as community outreach, children’s programs, evangelism, and practical service projects. You’ll also join local believers in worship and prayer, building long-term relationships that reflect the unity of the global Church. Beyond ministry, you will experience Romanian hospitality and gain a deeper understanding of its diverse culture, home to Romanians, Hungarians, and Roma communities.
By stepping into this mission, you will help bring hope and encouragement to those in need, while leaving a legacy of faith, service, and friendship. This is more than a trip—it’s a chance to make a lasting impact for the Kingdom of God in Eastern Europe.

What type of ministry will we be doing in Romania?
You’ll partner with local churches through community outreach, children’s programs, evangelism, and practical service projects that meet real needs.
Do I need to speak Romanian or Hungarian to serve?
No. Most ministry is supported by translators and local church partners. A willing heart to serve is far more important than language skills.
Where in Romania will the mission trip take place?
Most trips are based in regions such as Transylvania or Moldavia, serving both urban neighborhoods and rural villages alongside local pastors.
What is the cost of the trip and what does it include?
The trip cost covers lodging, meals, in-country transportation, ministry supplies, and staff support. Airfare is usually arranged separately unless otherwise specified.
Is Romania safe for mission teams?
Yes. Romania is considered a safe destination, and all trips are organized with trusted local church partners. Our staff works to ensure accommodations and activities prioritize safety.
What kind of accommodations should I expect?
Teams typically stay in guesthouses, church facilities, or modest hotels. Meals are prepared by local hosts, giving you a taste of authentic Romanian hospitality.
How can I prepare spiritually and practically for the trip?
We recommend consistent prayer, team preparation meetings, and fundraising if needed. Spiritually, come ready to serve humbly, build relationships, and allow God to work through you.
Basics
Romania is located in Eastern Europe, bordered by Hungary, Serbia, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Moldova, and the Black Sea. Its capital city is Bucharest, and the country has a population of over 19 million people.
Language, Climate & Safety
The official language is Romanian, a Romance language closely related to Italian, French, and Spanish. Summers are warm (20–30°C / 68–86°F), while winters can be cold, especially in the mountains. Romania is considered a safe country for visitors, with welcoming communities and low crime rates in most areas.
Economy & Currency
Romania’s economy is developing, with strengths in agriculture, IT, and industry. Many rural areas, however, face poverty and lack of resources. The official currency is the Romanian Leu (RON). Credit cards are accepted in most cities, but cash is often preferred in small towns and villages.
Food & Fun
Romanian cuisine blends Eastern European and Balkan flavors. Traditional dishes include sarmale (cabbage rolls), mămăligă (cornmeal porridge), grilled meats, and hearty soups. Visitors also enjoy folk festivals, traditional music, and the legendary castles of Transylvania.
History & Religion
Romania has a rich history shaped by Roman, Ottoman, Austro-Hungarian, and communist influences. Today, it is a democratic republic and a member of the European Union. Faith is deeply rooted in society, with the majority belonging to the Romanian Orthodox Church, alongside Roman Catholics, Protestants, and a growing evangelical movement.
